About Origin Bathrooms & Kitchens

Gus and George were very professional in their communication and conduct. The initial quote remained the same by the end of the build and there were no hidden extras.

They showed flexibility when I made the mistake of being short on tiles. Gus was calm and allowed me time to adjust my order. The team worked at a fast pace and the plumber and waterproofers were thorough. Gus always showed personal care and was happy to answer any questions.

Love our new bathrooms. Thanks!

I renovated my two bathrooms and laundry cupboard with Origin Bathrooms & Kitchens at the end of 2023. Having never renovated before my concerns were (1) cost, and ensuring the quote was in the appropriate range ( 2) quality/workmanship (3) ensuring the job was completed during a specified period when our family arranged to move out. Origin delivered on all three.

I obtained 3 quotes from local companies with fairly strong google ratings. George’s quote was within the range quoted and in fact included more items. Unlike the other companies, every single job/item was noted in the quote and so there was great transparency. George also impressed me with his knowledge when he did the initial walk through to provide the quote. I subjected him to VERY long emails with numerous questions about the job and he very patiently responded to these before I decided to go with Origin.

The renovation was a very smooth process. They used an App which uploads the contract and agreed plans, the date schedule for the work, the invoices, and even progress photos. So it’s possible to easily access the documents and see where they’re up to when you’re not living on-site.

The best part of the whole process, and what made it so smooth and ensured that the job was well done, was the project manager Jamie. He is a perfectionist and takes the time to ensure on-the-job decisions will bring the best outcome. His recommendations were always right, and he suggested improvements along the way which definitely improved our end result. Nothing was too much trouble. Jamie has a very calm and reassuring manner, and always listened to what we wanted. When tradies were sick at the start of the job he arranged additional workers to be on-site later in the week to ensure the projected time schedule was adhered to. Jamie is absolutely across the work that is required for a professionally renovated bathroom, and certainly delivered this for us. He was an absolute pleasure to work with, and his ability and attitude made the renovation an easy experience. We were not expecting that at all! We would have no hesitation recommending Origin to our friends and family.

We are very happy with our bathroom renovation by Origin Bathrooms & Kitchens. The job was done professionally and was well managed — finishing on time despite some unexpected finds after the demolition and isolating during the pandemic. All tradesmen contracted to the build were professional and did an excellent job. Jamie and Gus were easy to communicate with and highly responsive. And we could not be happier with the result. Will definitely recommend to friends.

FAQ

Discover In-Depth Answers About Our Services, Policies, and More.

What makes our showroom unique?

Our Sydney showroom is designed to inspire and showcase ideas for bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Explore tiles, cabinetry, benchtops, finishes and layouts in person, and chat with our experts about creating a space that’s both stylish and functional.

How do I plan my renovation project?

Planning a renovation with Origin Bathrooms & Kitchens is simple and structured:

Get in touch with our design and renovation experts.
Free consultation — in-home or at our showroom to discuss your needs.
Design & scope sign-off — finalise drawings, fixtures and finishes.
Build phase — renovation typically takes 3 weeks to a few months depending on size, complexity and materials selected.
Final inspection & handover — quality checks before you enjoy your new space.

What is our typical lead time before the project starts?

Assuming selected products are readily available, renovations usually begin 2 to 6 weeks after project approval. Some materials, for example those which are imported to order may result in 12-14 weeks lead times. During this time, we will finalise project planning, including scheduling all trades to ensure a smooth build phase.

What do we need from you during the build phase?

Once the design and scope are finalised, not much! You’ll have a dedicated project manager as your single point of contact, who will coordinate trades, provide progress updates, and handle any questions or developments throughout construction.

How long does a renovation take to complete?

Bathrooms: 3–5 weeks
Kitchens: 3–5 weeks
Laundries: 2–4 weeks

Times vary based on project size, complexity, and whether layout changes or additional plumbing/electrical work are required.

Due to the custom nature of our projects, timelines vary significantly. We often complete straightforward renovations with readily available materials in 3 weeks, with more complex projects with imported materials can take months.

Will I have to move out during the build phase?

In most cases, you won’t need to move out. Renovations are managed to minimise disruption. However, access to temporary alternatives for bathrooms or kitchens may be needed if they are your only facilities.

How much does a renovation cost?

Costs vary depending on size, complexity, layout changes, and finishes. Typical Sydney project ranges:

Bathroom: $25,000 – $35,000
Kitchen: $25,000s / $4,000s –6,000s / $60,000+
Laundry: $5,000 – $20,000

All quotes are all-inclusive, fixed price, covering labour, materials and installation — no hidden costs.

Do I get a warranty?

Yes! Our workmanship is covered under the statutory warranties outlined in the Home Building Act, and product warranties vary depending on the manufacturer.

Can I renovate more than one room at once?

Absolutely. Many homeowners choose to renovate a bathroom, kitchen and/or laundry together. Bundling projects can reduce costs and construction time by consolidating trades and materials. We can provide a customised package quote based on your priorities and budget.
