Custom kitchen renovations with Origin Bathrooms & Kitchens usually begin 2 to 6 weeks after your project is approved. During this time, we finalise the kitchen drawings, book trades, organise all materials (cabinetry, benchtops, sinks, etc) and resources needed to ensure a smooth build phase.

Once your design and scope of works are finalised, you don’t need to do much — our team manages the construction. You’ll be appointed a dedicated project manager who acts as your single point of contact, keeps you updated on progress, and handles all coordination between trades and suppliers.

Most kitchen renovations take 3 to 6 weeks from demolition to completion once work begins. Smaller or cosmetic updates can be faster, while larger kitchens with layout changes can take slightly longer depending on complexity and approvals required.

In most cases, you will not need to move out while we renovate your kitchen. We plan the build to minimise disruption to your home and daily routines. However, if your kitchen is your only food-prep space, you may want to organise temporary alternatives during peak construction time.

Yes — during demolition and installation you will likely be without a full functioning kitchen for most of the build. Planning a temporary kitchen setup (microwave, portable cooktop, kettle, etc.) helps maintain routine during this time.
